“The most authentic thing about us is our capacity to create, to overcome, to endure, to transform, to love and to be greater than our suffering.” Ben Okri
In discovering your own wise-way, comes healing, renewal and transformation.
Greetings, my name is Helen and I welcome you to “All Things Soul!” where we explore insights on living from the inner life, or ‘soul-life’, in the complexities our society and collective ‘scripts’. This process is grounded deeply in the work of C.G. Jung and others who took up his research and work in the early twentieth century on healing the psyche by following the inner life of soul, dreams and each person’s unique quest for meaning and wholeness.
My professional life over many years includes working as a psychotherapist, author, poet, artist in textile art, and lately a qualitative researcher. My private practice offers individual sessions, groups and workshops, interactive speaker series with experts on Jung, dreams, soul and eldership, and community gatherings bringing singers, poets, artists and seekers together for soul-care and community. In my clinical and private practice I specialize in supporting each individual in his or her search for meaning, hope, purpose and inner wholeness no matter what the situation. Expertise is distilled through many years on the front lines in health care supporting patients and staff in intensive care, trauma, palliative care and, since 2007, oncology. Always we seek together to preserve the humane, compassionate, soulful, healing and wise. Over the years I have supported and guided many individuals and families through some of life’s most difficult times. Clients and workshop participants benefit from over 20 years of experience, developing compassionate and gentle processes to support people in finding their own wise-way, through any situation.
Professional certifications: I am licensed with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) in Canada and a member of the professional association, the Canadian Association of Spiritual Care (CASC) as a certified Spiritual Care Specialist. Also published in scholarly journals and a speaker at international, national and regional conferences, I offer a focus on the humane, creative, compassionate and wise in all aspects of our lives for a much needed, hopeful future. My two children have my greatest teachers and my mothering experiences are part of the rich soil of learning about life and living that undergirds everything I offer.
Individual confidential, in-person or virtual (Skype or FaceTime) sessions and leadership consultancy are offered. As well, ‘journey groups’ for women in workshops are designed each year.
