At the MacGill Centre we believe our commitment to trauma recovery needs to include supporting our local and international community. If we’re fortunate to have immediate and adequate support; we have a much better chance to complete our survival responses and as a result, return to a trusting connection to ourselves and the world around us.
We are currently researching local community agencies that support trauma recovery to establish an ongoing support base to help expand their support to our community.
We will work with local agencies to bring awareness and support to our most vulnerable and marginalized populations.
Internationally we hope to establish linkages to support immediate needs as well as our goal to increase awareness on the impact of trauma.
